Notes About The Poem

While You Sleep

While You Sleep

The morning is still gray,
it is just before the dawn.
I stare out the kitchen window,
looking for a lost song.

I make the coffee,
and clean up... last night.
It was a good time,
to remember,
how to laugh.

Now you are quiet,
and so am I.
Peaceful is the day,
in every way.
I pray.

'to remember... how to laugh!' Wonderful words, though O! That it comes to that sometimes. Elegance & Grace, Gershon
