While Caesar Watches For Brutus Part One

The world is so mechanical It is so scientific It's getting to be so-so difficult Everything works at a fingers touch Everything is speeded up too much Neon lights the night Smog darkens the sunlight Time is to the seconds While details are at a multitude There are directions for directions And everything is divided up into sections You need explanations for instructions And a new twist to get a tax deduction If you lose your will you pop a pill Medications save you from destruction Then therapy to help you get off medication The cause of your self destruction Media gives you all the world's information But the more you dig it's just trifle sensation Your health care is cancel but you got a job Your new premiums show you got robbed You seek new religion for truth, while your Bible collects dust You try anything that makes you feel good, do as you must Your always consulting a specialist Paying a fortune to a shrink who says "Do as you wish" Your tablet is on the brink Your water is toxic what do you drink? The new batteries dead so is your car You watch the bus leave you from afar The evolving doors stuck You begin to swear like Donald Duck The world knows your a muck-always out of luck The elevators down you have to walk You answer the phone a computer begins to talk You live in a world of grey glass and steel And you begin to wonder what is real You can never plan You never left school-it's always homework and exams You eat out of a vending machine Munching on a diet of chips and sodas like it was fine cuisine Your Walter Mitty lost in a daydream You download workout videos with plastic You wear clothing that's elastic It seems everyone else's life is fantastic Your iphone won't work for static You drink coffee like an addict You dress to impress But your paycheck seems less You never get a break But everyone is on the take You work all day and can't sleep at night You go home to love ones to only fight And you awaken to a feeling you just can't go on Then you scream to yourself what's it's all about I've had enough I want out You find yourself out on a ledge You finally done it-you've reached the edge You look down and see all the people running out Then you hear the death chants as the crowd shouts A priest and a policeman are trying to coax you in You got a speeding ticket and are Baptist, why trust them? Jump and it's over, Jump and it ends (continued While Caesar watches for Brutus Part two)
