Where Were You Father?

Where were you when I called?
when I searched all over for your love?
for your kind protection and your words?
for a father's hand to hold?

Where were you when I was alone?
when I didn't understand the world?
when I needed help to not to fall?
cuz the holes were too big to jump on my own?

Where were you when I prayed on my knees?
for a man who could come and be there for me
so I could finally be a girl beautiful and sweet
and not an easy prey walking on the streets?

Where were you father? why you didn't fill up my needs?

I am trying to get rid of this heavy heart in relation to him...and I know that by getting some pain out, that part cannot go back in...so there, another brick less...thanks for your words...much love!
