Where Were You
Table for two
Warm candlelight
Romantic view
And a perfect night
Red wine and soft music
were setting the mood
I was there.........
Where were you......
' Watch cypress trees
Begin to dance
In a soft summer breeze
From an old park bench
All around lovers doing
The things lovers do....
I was there......
Where were you.....
Where were you
I'd like to know,
With the heart I've needed....
I've longed for it so
You've always left me stranded
Feeling like a fool.....
I was there....
Where were you
Just yesterday
I saw my old friend
And met his new love
'Spent time with them
I wanted to introduce him
To somebody too
I was there....
Where were you
Where were you
I'd like to know,
With the heart I've needed.....
I've longed for it so
You've always left me stranded
Feeling like a fool......
'Cause when it came to love
I was there....Where were you
