Where We Played
My mother raised my brother and I
By herself, she raised two rowdy boys
She taught us to say please and thank you
And to always take care of our toys
But we had a little Frankenstein man
In the backyard dirt we'd play around
We put him under some piled up bricks
Then made all the bricks come crashing down
When the bricks came down on Frankenstein
We found him with no head, what a shock!
We were sad for a minute or two
Then after that we just used a rock!
We weren't real picky what we played with
We didn't think about where we would play
Even without fancy, popular toys
Imagination can go a long way
