Where Truth Lies

Once upon a time.
Terrible things happened.
And nobody cared to hear.
The question is, how far will you go?
You know when the white rabbit
comes to sing about mushrooms.
You have to wonder what's up.
But in my sleep, my dream state.
It is I who tells them who you are.
As we swim in this ocean called life.
It is the people and places
We welcome in along the way.
That made us feel this way.

All the injuries and bad things done. You have done well. I read the comments you received for this. I see how well thought of you are. It is because you have a unique style that we love to experience. You have brought art and thought into my life today. It is a lot of fun to read and reflect on these works. The dream state is the realm that we are ignorant of today. I'm sure I mentioned "the forgotten language", a book by Fromm where he makes that argument. You have not forgotten!

An ingenious piece with layers of meaning expertly crafted. The questions and 'Alice in Wonderland' references add depth. The last three lines are poignant yet have hope. Wonderful writing Debbie;) lynnxxx

Good Morning Debbie. There is nothing I could add to this entry or your words. Please allow me to let it stand. You certainly have the ability and skill to write. "As we swim in this ocean called life. It is the people and places We welcome in along the way. That made us feel this way." those words and expression speak volumes and truth. Well done entirely and completely. It was an honor turning to your page today.

Quite interesting. I liked that analogy to Alice in Wonderland. I think that story has served as inspiration for many writers through modern history.

I love this creative poem, Debbie. The currency you employ is cabbage, and the rabbit has given me words of wisdom as food for thought. I agree w/Chris, the abstract artistry of your poem is elegant and profound. Beautiful mind elevating poetry. A 7! May love light your path always.

This is so creative and so abstract that it causes the strangest picture in my mind and I love it. There is a darkness to this that comes across as an echo that continues on and on. Seems you wield a very artistic pen as well my friend.
