Where the Wind Goes

The wind has taken all away, but where the wind goes - who can say? Perhaps it whirls to heaven's gate— or back to when it's not too late, and carries with it all that's lost, restores to whole what's dashed and tossed. But this is just a wish, I know, and not the way winds always blow. More likely, heaven is the place I'll have to reach to see your face, since whirl and wind have swept away what here, on earth, could never stay.

We need more of this kind of poetry to ponder on. I like the way the soup brings together poets with spirit and originality to produce such wonderful poems. Scientists are still working on an answer to your question. I am not holding my breath. Faith leads me to believe your last stanza. Regards David in NZ
