Yearns to edge closer, to caress her ankles ~
For the ocean itself is enamoured by her magnetic pull.
Smouldering warmth envelops her ~ sharp as volcanic glass,
Caught between waves and e r u p t i n g sea beds,
Bringing forth hidden treasures; from chaos, brilliance arises.
Constellations f a l t e r beneath her gaze,
Stardust suspends mid-spiral to listen for her honeyed voice.
She is carved from molten hymns and the clay of restless ancestors.
She roams like a myth through the plane of existence,
Every besieged f o o t p r i n t leaves the earth a little more awoken.
