I have changed pattern of my lines since the N/A

___________________________________________________________________

A snow-capped mountain where nobody goes; a forest thick with foliage and trees; a river which meanders as it flows through spaces that nobody likely sees; an expanse of sand too wide to be traversed; a tundra where no man cares to abide; a spot deep in the sea that’s not yet cursed; a forgotten weed-infested graveside. In this world where so many places teem with humanity and the chaos we bring, there still exists the quiet of a dream and nature has evaded mankind’s sting. Where silence listens, sounds are wild or raw, like wind-rush, wave-roar or simple crow-caw.

Congratulations on your winning work in the contest. Andrea, you have such good rhythm, rhyme, and flow in this one. I like the traditional way of poetry writing so much better than this new that is going around. Way to go. Sara K

As a nature lover, this is particularly pleasing to me Andrea. Yes, there are spots here and there that call with silent voice. Congratulations! :)

Thanks, SO. That's what happens to those who can't come up with unusual imagery and whose brains think in meter when it comes to writing poetry. We simply do forms like sonnets

Dear Andrea, your 'silence' sonnet is exquisite! I love the turn with "In this world where so many places teem with humanity and chaos we bring" - it gives the poem a personal/human thought-provoking perspective. Your closing couplet provides a sensory-rich, vivid finale looping back to the beauty of nature. A fantastic piece! Warmest wishes, my poet friend.. ~Susan
