Where Prejudice Was Blind

Perched in a cozy window seat On a somber cool wet rainy day Oozing sincerity was such a treat Observing pure innocence at play A young mind untainted by unjust As he told stories to his new friend Both sharing an undying blind trust While they sat in a game of pretend Tall tales of pirates and mermaids, Sea monsters the two could fight How when the daylight would fade They'd ride stars through the night A kitten mesmerized with curiosity Wish I knew what was on his mind Still this tot shared such generosity Innocence where prejudice was blind

To be young. What a gift it is... and to share it with us. We are so lucky to be in its midst. Have a great day my friend.
