Where Lies Befall
In a world filled with lies, truth is the flame
To ignite unification, to stimulate our inner selves
To do what is right in actions we choose
Creativity connects us all;
When a poem is read, a song is heard,
Or a painting is seen, a common thread
A gift from one to another;
Helping those to feel something, learn something
To be alive, to feel alive
We may all have our own ways about us,
But we are all equal just the same
Lies and worse things only have power when truth is buried
When all that grows is from the root of evil
So, let us not allow the truth to be buried
Let us cast away fears, speak loud and clear
Regardless of opposition;
You can be heard with strength from mountain tops
Choosing truth above the valley where lies befall
