Where Is the Sun

This somber morn My heart weighs heavy As clouds drift slowly by As if stood up Left at the altar Where is the sun Jolted Such gravity This joyless day So intrinsically dependent On the life force fireball Up in the sky How will I get through the day Dare I hope to see the sun tomorrow O yes, there is always tomorrow AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Posted on September 30, 2018

Very evocative of the pall of gloom created by a dreary, sunless day. I also liked the ending, as "there is always tomorrow"! Nice piece! ;)

Thankfully, not every rainy day is depressing and unproductive... it's important to carry some of that sunshine inside us. Thanks for your much appreciated visit and lovely comment, Mahtab.
