Where Is the Love

Racism, war murder, fear The world is a dangerous place my dear Poverty, Depression, Lord above Lord above, where is the love? The world is slowly falling apart Losing its soul; losing its heart People out for what they can take Not knowing that their lives are at stake People in the streets with no food to eat No shelter, no home, no shoes on their feet They do not know the word; do not know the light Lord, do not let them leave your sight Many struggle with earthly possessions Running in circles with mortal obsessions Filling a void that cannot be filled Their hearts freeze and then become chilled They are judged by their fellow men They are but animals in their stereotype’s pen They search for love; to hold onto something But in the end, the judgment of man means nothing Judgment is solely bestowed upon you Only you lord, your heart is true As the world falls apart Losing its soul; losing its heart As times come to an end Judgment Day come forth to send On this earth O’Lord above Lord tell me: Where is the love?

Nicely written, Dylan. This is the age old question since Adam took a bite of that apple. Remember, however, that the Lord showed His love for us many times since, and even though it may not seem that He is there, He is and will always be. It never hurts to ask the question that you raise, for you cannot find if you do not seek.
