Where Is He
I close my eyes...
While I lay
He's beside me,
Holding me tight.
I walk out in public,
He's there
Holding my hand where ever we go.
I'm home crying,
He's their,
Comforting me.
At the theater
He'll be in the seat
Right next to me.
But,
When I open my eyes...
I lay alone
With an empty space
Where he should be.
I walk the streets alone,
Hands only in my pockets
Or by my side.
I cry,
Until the tears stop falling
Or I fall asleep.
And I'll go to the movies
Only to have
Strangers sit in the empty seat.
Where is he?
The one who's supposed to be?
The man of my dreams.
He's everywhere,
Except with me.
