Where Dreams Come From
10 seconds of imagination,
Like a secret I never could keep.
Seeming like hours in my mind;
A tiny spark leaping to light year speed.
Images coming in helter skelter ways uncontrolled;
Just when sense is made you tumble into oblivion.
Emotions swirling in crazy circles of sad happy and fright,
While the dreamer can only ride them to termination.
Many close their eyes yet see nothing without slumber,
What they usually do view is hardly worth mention.
Only darkness and floaters as common as next breath;
Those sleeping visions with unopened eyes I'll take anytime.
Where they truly come from I don't really care,
Had enough of them that brought me to Heaven.
The ones that flamed with Hell fire are gone,
I'll just save all the best in my mind and savor them.
