Notes About The Poem

Written June 30 2026 for contest sponsor John Lawless

Where Do Tears Go

Faeries catch tears that drain from your soul
They sift away fears mix them in blue bowl

Add some sparkling water and dandelion dust
Tooth fairy tarter from old heirloom tooth rust

Stirring with whimsical wands they sing loud
Restructuring the tears into those for smiles

Where do tears go when they fall from cries
Fuchsia faeries know making tears of joy and pride
