Where Do I Belong

Where do I belong?
Life spent caring for others,
Family, friends, neighbors ,
Along with pets and plants.

Is there a place called 'Here'?
A secret place called 'There'?
Love my private time and solitude,
Love having my own attitude.

Where do I belong?
Alone and misplaced.
No longer have a space,
To call my own.

Gardens belong to someone else.
Squirrels have taken over my space.
The sun shines less, the trees bare none,
No longer belong in this place.

Old, alone and lonely.
Where do I belong?
Where's my place in all this space?
Where can I call home?
