Where Are They Now

where is he now?
the poor kid
they chased around
the playgrounds
just to see his shoes
flopping in and out
half off his bare feet.

Where are they now?
the poor girls
disheveled and plain
without lipstick and makeup
illiterate
who dreamed of the babies
they had just after graduation.

Where is he now?
the quarterback
who ignored
everyone but himself.

Where are we all?
saint or sinner
or purgatorial.

Saved
in this great wink
of eternity.

I am sure we are all very much changed from how we were and our lives will be very different from then - I'm not sure I would want to meet up with my old school mates I was terribly bullied but i can help the kids I work with through my experiences:-( hugs jan xx
