Whenever

Whenever I am close to you
I can never say the words I want to
I just smile like I always do
           Whenever I am close to you

Why can't I speak what my heart seeks
Why can't I say why am I afraid

             If I could just hold your hand
Maybe you would  finally understand
The way I feel the way I am....
             If I could just hold your hand

Why is my heart so shy
Why can't I even try
Why why oh why
Can't I say I love you

             Whenever I am close to you
I can never say the words I want to
I just smile like I always do
              Whenever I am close to you...

Duke Beaufort January 15, 2024 at 6:34 PM Saw this on the home page. I always found it hard to risk rejection. Some people are kind and some not when a rejection happens. The kind rejector told me the chemistry just wasn’t there. The mean one said ewwww! Either way, we occasionally might not be rejected. But we have to risk it. It’s not easy for we who are shy or have a fragile ego. Good luck,sir!!!
