Loneliness is scary if you've never been alone 'Cos when you're left all by yourself There's no such place as home Those who dig themselves a hole never see the light of day A paralyzing fear sets in 'Til they completely lose their way

I walk alone Myself is home. I have a dear friend who cannot stand to be alone. Those who cannot bear their own company will never know themselves. Maybe a blessing, eh?

The longer you stay alone the more estranged you become from life which can make people bitter, but a little peace and quiet is also good to do one's own thing. Great thought Gershon, Hugs, Blessings, Jennifer.

Interesting how some people see opportunities in the dark whereas others only perceive darkness, danger, and monsters . . . . .Being alone offers an opportunity to get to know one's self . . . .

What you've written is so true, Rico. Loneliness is a great space for contemplation, self-knowledge, and improvement. Hadn't thought of that angle when writing this poem, but I've benefited myself from periods alone. Hats off to you, Gershon
