When You Died
Worn like the darkness, the stars
Silently reflecting the peacefulness,
The joy and wonder, the promise
Healing the past with sensitivity, gestures
Blessing the spirit…
Cloaked in light, healing
From the mystery, the memory
Glowing like the new dawn, rising
Beyond the azure, through the violet
Vibrant as the skies when they smile
Beautiful, flowing, wistful…
Tired like the passing fancy,
Who soothes then bleeds doubt,
Quieting the moon, the stars, shimmering
Glistening beneath the darkness, hope
Lasting like embers, warm
Just bright enough to say a prayer…
This is the moment when my heart broke
Became a throbbing ache, burning
Away the hopes and dreams, the faith
Feelings both lasting and pure, exposing
Brokenness that seemed beyond healing,
Shattered beyond believing….
This moment, your passing
From this life into the next life
Where I hope that You will see what it means
To listen to His glorious authority
Wiping away every doubt you might have felt,
Every worry – every transgression
With love that abides in the light – He’s forever!
