When You Die
When You Die
If this lifetime was a test, I've failed
The ship I should have taken has sailed
I guess that means I'm coming back again
I don't know who, where, why or when
I found it was tough, didn't you ?
Hardest thing I've ever been through
Oh sure it wasn't bad at times
As long as you stayed within the lines
I hope I don't return to far into the future
When the world is held together by a suture
If I don't return, I hope I'll go someplace
I don't want to just be lost in space
Someone told me what I hope was a lie
This will scare you I will warn
I asked them what it's like when you die
They said the same as before you were born
Only time will tell
But I can't help but worry
Maybe I'll go to hell
But I won't, surely ?
