When You Are Not In My Presence

When You are not in my Presence, You own my other senses. They all strain and extend themselves to find some indication that You are safe, And that You will once again return to me. My tongue curls with Your name at it’s tip. I yearn to repeat it, until I feel I can tastefully consume You. My nostrils flare to make room for Your scent. I yearn to inhale You, until I feel so emerged in You that are You in the air I exhale. My hands fidget endlessly in search of Your skin. I yearn to touch You, until I feel my finger tips are too callous to perceive anything else. My ears fold around every sound hoping for Your voice. I yearn to hear You, until I feel deaf to any decibel that does not utter You. My heart beats rampantly attempting to match Your rhythm, I yearn to carry You, until I feel You extending through my being. My synapses illuminate with You at all their tips. I yearn to contemplate You, until I feel I can begin to understand You
