When Would You Take My Say

WHEN WOULD YOU ALL TAKE MY SAY
In traditional modern home I’m a daughter I’m told what I should do, what I should wear I haven’t grown up yet, I have to tamely obey When would you all take my say? To parents I’m a burden they don’t like to carry Decide how soon and whom I should marry Disgracing the family I shouldn’t find my way When would you all take my say? Me as his equal my husband would never see Decides what kind of home maker I should be He can wander around but I shouldn’t stray When would you all take my say? In the closing years when I see the end not far Children move out, think I’m a failed mother I’d take the pain with me when I fade away When would you all take my say?
