When will this fallen land know peace?
Now that all men have become beast,
And then prey on their own brothers.
When will this fallen land know peace?
Now that everyday lets out blood,
And all the leaders' hands are limp.
When will this fallen land know peace?
Now that all men have become beast.

for my home country Nigeria,
lamenting the daily shedding of innocent blood
especially in the Northern part of the country
