When We Lived

What’s the reason of this plot Why I can’t recall Can’t receive a single prompt Letters on the wall Could have told me what to do If I should have done Of if not, than I’d ask you In the evening sun And you turn to me with your Reassuring smile Standing at the kitchen door With a glass of wine There’s no better answer, love To the dreams we share Even now, when times get tough But you are still there Sitting in your cotton gown Pictured, saved and filed When the curtains were drawn down When we lived awhile.
