When Was It Ever Great

Ask if we'll ever see the end of wars and you're bound to hear,
that it will never happen, not in a thousand years.
I hear you loud and clear, but I just don't accept it.
For someone who hasn't done their homework, you're quick to reject it.
Do you understand that our air and our oceans are all connected?
Military nerve gas in our water, why? For our protection?
No election in the world produces solutions,
even fascist countries use financial institutions,
and prisons and police, and so there's never any peace,
our voice has risen in the streets, I think a limit has been reached,
because if we do nothing, nothing changes guaranteed.
What good is all your money and all your weapons with no air to breath,
and while the world is about to face massive unemployment,
people are watching men in tights play with balls for enjoyment.
Kids of the future will look at us in disgust wondering,
"Didn't you see it coming? How could you just do nothing?"
Make anerica great again? When was it ever great?
WE need to get up off the couch and MAKE a better place.
The choice is ours, the time is now and yet we hesitate.
Another world is possible NOW. We have to demonstrate,
beyond wars, beyond politics and poverty.
We don't need presidents and leaders to be following.
It's time to do away with flags and borders for good,
WE have the voice and power, and NOW the choice is ours.
The way we're living now was great a hundred years ago,
but it's frustrating, what's taking updating so long?
We have the best equipped universities in history,
but most of us lack the technological proficiency.
Your car is breaking down because it's designed inefficiently.
Why not produce Abundance, and get these things for free?
because you don't really want a job, you want to get to work,
and do something for our fellow beings and this precious earth,
"but it will never work," right? That's what you keep saying.
The world is still burning, and you can keep praying,
or we can build paradise or face oblivion.
We are living in the zone of no return and so I hope we all learn,
that we are ONE and all need the same things to get by.
The choice is ours, the time is now. There won't be a next time.
You're my brothers and my sisters no matter what is in your wallet.
I p[ledge allegiance to the earth and everybody on it.

Would it be so bad to automate and be free at last.
Do you want to work and pay bills, or live the dreams you had?
Do you want to feed enslaved animals, or feed the kids?
It's time for all of us to re examine what we quote "Need To Live."
We have obsolete values from a long time ago.
We give opinions rather than admit, "I don't know."
We are working jobs we hate, we're not living man, we're dying slow.
Sea levels are rising bro across the entire globe.
Rich, poor, project to the burbs, the united states, all away around the planet,
DAMNIT,
We got the same problems, we're about to be the cause of our own extinction,
if we don't choose to fight for human rights with foward thinking.
Emotions translated into deeds is what we need,
university cities where everyone can study Free,
and you can help make it happen, or you can hope so.
We are not conscious, there is so much we don't know.
