When Tragedy Starts
When tragedy starts,
It tears us apart,
Nothing seems to matter,
All we can hear is our hearts shatter.
It was an accident they say,
They didn't mean it in any way,
They go to jail and ask why me?
Praying is all they can do to be free.
Are they praying for that boy?
Who was once filled with joy?
If they were thinking,
They wouldn't be drinking.
But when that tragedy starts,
There's no telling when it will hit our hearts,
Will it be later, will it be soon?
Maybe it will hit us next afternoon?
