When Time Is Too Short
So Many things we want to say
so many things to do
But in this life we're held by time
the minutes and hours are few
We take for granted there is tomorrow
though tomorrow may never come
We miss precious time we have been given
the clock ticks as a timeless drum
God gave us all selected days
what we do in that time is ours
will we make each moment count for good
or let it pass as dried up flowers?
We've seen how precious time can be
how quickly a life can end
Did we give that one our deepest love
do we feel at peace within?
No matter what has happened in our life
No matter the mistakes we've made
From this moment on, this tick of the clock
make the minutes count today
Tomorrow is never promised to us
goodbye is a heart beat away
The moments we have, so precious to others
make them count in a life today
For what will they say when our time is done
will they miss how we made them feel?
Will your life live on deep in their souls?
and know your love was real?
Oh Time, Oh Time its ticking away
as an enemy or a friend.
Its a gift we are given from God above
make it count in the love you send.
