When Thoughts Are Constrained
When thoughts are constrained, from our being drained.
Do we flop down, in some dismal pain.
Or do we rise up, as cute as a pup.
And start all over a-gain.
When moments are lost, do we pay the cost.
Or do we fall down, and do we feel lost.
Or do we lay down, as cute as a pup.
And stop it all abrupt.
When time passes on, that we can’t get back.
Do we stand down, or do we attack.
Or do we sit up, as cute as a pup.
And start all over again.
When your life is through, and I’m not with you.
Should I go on, or should I stay blue.
Or should I speak up, as cute as a pup.
And start all over again.
