When the Shouting Stops

You can’t blame God for this fiasco Only mankind could dream up this scheme Politics has never been so low It’s very hard for truth to be seen Faith in our system’s gone from good to none Our eyes blinded, and our spirits broke Once all the mudslinging had begun Whatever they said became a joke Get out, cast a vote because we must Even if you would rather say no Whatever the outcome, we’ll adjust Search for the truth as forward we go. How will we be seen by others, I ask Let’s pull together and rise to the task.

I was once a proud American, but for years now my pride has see-sawed until just recently when it fell flat on hard ground. One who will keep everything on the same 'ole disaster course and one who would HAVE to be curtailed by congress. Where oh where have all the good politician's gone? Gone to selfish agendas, every one. Obviously, an effective poem for me, Betty. CayCay

I rarely voice my opinion, and never my voting preference, but felt compelled on this one. I will only say, when asked what I think, "If mud is supposed to be good for the complexion, why don't those two look better?" No matter who wins, we do have 4 more years to come up with hopefully sounder choices. God help us all. Chin up America, put a clothes pin on your nose, and vote! Your opinion matters!
