When the Shouting Stops
You can’t blame God for this fiasco
Only mankind could dream up this scheme
Politics has never been so low
It’s very hard for truth to be seen
Faith in our system’s gone from good to none
Our eyes blinded, and our spirits broke
Once all the mudslinging had begun
Whatever they said became a joke
Get out, cast a vote because we must
Even if you would rather say no
Whatever the outcome, we’ll adjust
Search for the truth as forward we go.
How will we be seen by others, I ask
Let’s pull together and rise to the task.
