When the Savior Came

Cheer and shout for joy the Savior has been born Came into the world on Christmas morn He came forth on Christmas day to bless this world The life of the Messiah was unfurled Rise with Him and rejoice in all He gave He is sent to all mankind to save I know with all my heart His gift is true And He’s always there to see me through Still most can’t see through all the haze And don’t know He saved them from the blaze The works of men could in no way earn Christ’s matchless gift; will they ever learn Men from the East they came to see this baby king He came to give us life and everything And when wise men met Him they rejoiced Now to Him our praise is always voiced Still His love calls us home today God sent His Son to make a way Written 1-2-16
