When the Night Calls

1 million things
run in my head,
The night is too loud
And my head won’t shut it out.
When I look at the screen
I don’t seem to think
When I eat the bread
Everything goes away
And when I see his face
I feel safe.
Yet when the night calls my name
I lay there awake
With the voices in my head.
The wind whispers too loud
And the rain is hard to understand
It’s hard to breath
And sometimes it’s hard to see
Feeling lost in dreams
Slowly slipping away
Every day I stay

Felt what you tried to say! Nicely written. Thanks - Marshall
