When Reflection Turns

If all you can see is what's wrong with me instead of seeing what's right,
Or can judge me with your eyes before you see with love in your heart, there is something wrong with your sight,
That is when the reflection turns and your stripped to view yourself,
And you must sit back and evaluate what you've laid dormant on your shelf,
When you love someone and care enough to reach out to them when their in pain,
To encourage them to build on love and friendship because you relate and have been through the same,
The actions were worth the effort even if their heart doesn't respond,
For if you stood back and do nothing would be the opposite of what God placed on your heart,
When you know intentions were for good the whole time, but instead you get slapped in the face,
Just remember God's love that brought you to them, for that's when God is building your faith,
He's allowed you to see the beauty beforehand within that heart of another,
Even if what you see in the moment with your eyes don't match but the eyes of your heart see deeper waters.
