When My Plane Went Down To Drown
Bubbles rose from my mouth
I was underwater, I wanted to shout
Lifeless bodies floated past me
Gutted, I realized that I was in the sea
I struggled to get the seat belt off me
And swam up to the surface where metal and smoke
Made my lungs burn and I choked
Flames rose in the air
Bodies charred everywhere
I closed my eyes and said a prayer
I would not give in to this burning slayer
I was desperate to survive
I was still alive
Helicopter blades hovered in the sky
I waved my arms and began to cry
The helicopter was moving away
I was going to die, I had no say
A rope ladder dangled from above
I saw my rescuers faces filled with love
And then the strangest sight
A white dove flapping its wings in a shining light
I felt at peace and closed my eyes
And when I opened them, I saw the sunrise
