When Less Is More

Sometimes, we must go west to reach east.
Often, watching others eat is the real feast.

Sometimes, less is more,
And being more means:

To be alienated or victimized
Doesn't mean that I am a victim.

To be put down low and beneath
Does not mean I cannot rise above.

To be poor, middle class, or less than rich
Is no reason to not make many rich.

To be faced with danger and death,
But yet helping others that they might live.

To be afraid, hungry, and homeless,
Yet securing, feeding, and housing others.

Parents gladly becoming 'have nots';
Going without  and barely surviving,
So that their children might have and thrive.

To live on less and without the best,
Always believing that we all are blessed.
