When It's That Time,God Stand By Me
When it's time for my fate
And my beauty fades
Stand by my side
Strong, on my right
Say it will be alright
The dark tunnel has light
When my strength fails
And all my successes rail
Remind me it's real
But it'll all rail
When it's that time,stand by me
And pray it rains
Over the trains
Of my chains
That keep me captive
And my soul adaptive
Faces can be deceptive
So stand by me
But there is no escape
From the bold shape
Into the shade
Of my chains
Still stand by me
I do not question
The reaction,
It's an action.
When it's that time
That my chains gleam,
My faith withers
In that cold weather
My heart yearns
And my soul earns
For you to be there
By my side
When it's that time
GOD stand by me.
