Notes About The Poem

When I Kneel
Joy wrote to my spirit,
Songs of light, rhythms revealing
Trembling tones of hope,
Little lessons of peace and love….
Joy silenced my fears, my tears
Reminding me that His love is here,
Always available for my heart, my spirit
Assuring, encouraging, inspiring….
Joy invites me to always believe
He is with me, a light so I can see
Writing my story in His own special ink,
An ink from His blood,
Blood shed on a hill called Calvary…
Joy comes from knowing this man
Who died on a cross, on a hill, in a land
Where they failed to see – He is more than man
He is the answer to my spirit’s despair
He is the reason my soul won’t fear
He is the purpose of life’s every tear
He is the joy that whispers, so sincere
Love is the light that comes to heal
Love is the promise that will fulfill
Love is from God, who the enemy tried to kill
Love is God and it is God to whom I’ll kneel.
