When I Can Love You Freely

When I find myself beside you
And I can hold you close to me
When I can see your gorgeous smile
So precious no one could believe
When I can finally take your hand
And lead you from the darkness
When I can keep you safe from harm
And protect you from the world's harshness
When I can always see you
With a smile in your deep green eyes
Then I will have made worth-while
My long, treacherous game of life
