When Hearts Combine
Love develops within trusting hearts,
an eternal bond between lovers.
For doubt's defeated before it starts;
as they snuggle under the covers.
Two hearts skewered by Cupid's arrow
begin to fuse, till there's but one beat.
And the chances of failure narrow
as passion's flame increases the heat.
Soulmates are as one, forevermore,
linked by eternal wishes and dreams.
And through intimacy, they explore
their feelings, taking trust to extremes.
A relationship is based upon
lovers sharing both their joys and tears.
And with doubts and anxieties gone,
using laughter to overcome fears.
Happiness is when two hearts combine,
for it feels good when someone loves you.
And that feeling only grows with time,
when, with all your heart, you love them too.
