When Flowers Basked In Sunlight

Clouds had melted and sun was shining bright harmony in garden sun-rays did bring, Roses were shy, daisies danced in delight. Sunflowers waved at sun, what a great sight their petals were perfectly placed in ring, Clouds had melted and sun was shining bright. Lilies felt drowsy had not slept last night silently admired sun, didn't say a thing, Roses were shy, daisies danced in delight. Calm breeze swayed the flowers from left to right flowers bloomed, butterflies began to cling, Clouds had melted and sun was shining bright. Purple pansies peeped as they had small height range of colours held the elegant spring, Roses were shy, daisies danced in delight. Flowers were excited, basked in sunlight while swarming bees stopped by, started to sing, Clouds had melted and sun was shining bright, Roses were shy, daisies danced in delight. June 20, 2016. Meenakshi, this is one of the most well written Villanelle I have read. This is not an easy form to get to flow smoothly, but you have done it justice! Congratulations on your #2 placement! Beautiful! 7 ; )

Lovely imagery and personification of beautiful flowers basking in the sun in a well-written Villanelle, Meenakshi. Best wishes for the contest. 7 Hugs, Sandra
