When Crookedness Backfires

Brass nerve
with verve

glib tongue
yarn spun

chance arm
what harm

false tale
for sale

rogue face
yet base

cute ploy
ahoy

bold scam
oh damn

smart theft
nought left

sly buck
no luck

so long
to wrong

now straight
bit late!

Congratulations. You were so smart to do them in a series. I am kicking myself for just giving him one

Exquisitely created, imbued with metaphorical strata, every footle resonates with depth—hearty congratulations on your win in the contest.

Great ending with bit late!! Best of luck in the contest. I probably should have created a story set instead of submitting a single footle
