When Canyon Noises Cease To Echo

When Canyon Noises Cease to Echo When there is nothing left to learn And the stars blink out of the heavens When rain no longer fills the oceans And flowers only grow in black and white Maybe then I’ll grow tired of you. When babies are no longer born innocent And music doesn’t move my soul When great natural wonders disappoint And making love becomes mundane Maybe then I’ll grow tired of you. When great art leaves me feeling empty And the high mountains blunt with age When canyon noises cease to echo And vintage wines no longer bring a smile Maybe then I’ll grow tired of you. When darkness and light become as one And there is no humor left in life When a child’s face fails to bring joy And my heart no longer drums it’s very own rhythm Maybe then…maybe then…
