When Blessings Overflow
When blessings overflow
Beyond our dreams, beyond our needs
Let’s look to our brothers
Their table bare
Their children’s cries and stares
Their pain a stain
Etched in their brain
We can help erase
And do not debase
With cajoling and flattery
In this world ever changing
Who knows tomorrow?
What hand we may be dealt?
We could stand in their shoes, for all we know
Taste the bitter taste of poverty
When blessings overflow
Remember your brothers
Who walk the earth just as you
