Notes About The Poem

When All Is Quiet

when all is quiet with the world
in my head chimes an enchanted choir
angelic mermaids as cellists and harpists
in a distant dreamy background
of surreal peaceful harmony

and I wonder how difficult
it would be to cross over
to that realm where there’s
no hungry vicious predators
no sadistic callous cruelty
no senseless injustice
unlike anywhere we know

is it so terribly ludicrous
to believe in a heaven
where there is only
unsullied edenic love

It is not ludicrous to consider that place. Scripture has promised this over many centuries by many different authors. This awaits us. Just don't be in a hurry to leave us. You mean a great deal to a lot of people. <3

I can't afford to be in a hurry. I have projects to complete first. Thanks for your lovely visit and comment, Timothy. Most appreciated.
