When a heart screams
Two lips so busy yet so little to say
so little,
with a voice so
far, far away.
Yet hear your heart scream
maybe it's better this way.
Not that you seduced anything innocent,
as you'd have them believe.
Yet believing came easily
enough for you..
and much too easy for me.
Like the tire swing not always shared
with tenderness.
Turned your back once or twice,
when asked for another ride..
though it doesn't mean you loved me less.
No, even a silent heart grows in absence,
and mine still so eager
to touch.
Tho' I couldn't always hear, never meant I didn't care.
Guess I just listened a little, too little
too much.
