When

When did we close our eyes
we knew wrong and right
didn't need to be told
we could feel it in our soul.
when did our heart grow cold
having ability to say no
seeing the need of help
caring only for self.
when did we stop loving life
and everything it gives both in and outside
how well we use to play
didn't matter the nation or tribe.
when did we stop looking inside
forgetting what tears meant when cried
knowing hurting feelings was a crime
there were no conditions on who we liked.
when...
did you forget how you'd feel
if someone said you weren't like them
you can't be their friend
any excuse to be above, in charge, or envied.
when did humans become something else
born on this planet in the same manner
yet we fight, kill and eradicate
billions, with excuses that complicate
life.
there are no actual reasons, yet we believe lies.
when did we start ignoring our conscience
the voice that tells us taking anything from life is wrong
Tell me how long
has it been since you've seen the entire world as your brother and friend
forget a border, skin color, land or shore.
when did we forget Love
and replace it with money, greed, hate and disgust
we've forgotten how to trust
others and ourselves
to breathe and recognize all that do the same.
When can we get back to us again?

Smile ~ First I wish to say that, "Symphony Is A Beautiful Name" &, this, is an amazing expression of compassion, reflection & hope among many bright lights spoken ~ Smile, I believe that at this point in time, humanity, could use a lot of help from "Beautiful Angels" hands & hearts; perhaps, a change amid perceptions would be such a blessing....Smile, "Very Beautiful Poe; A Fave &, 'My Love Always,'" John! ~ Smile, "Have A Very Beautiful Evening;" Bye!:) ~
