My sincerest congratulations on your contest win, dear VS. Your work is a masterful composition, replete with eloquent rhymes and effortless cadences. Your insights and sagacity are truly impressive, particularly regarding the abhorrent practice of taking a child's life due solely to the hue of their skin.

As I read the stories of those dear children, I cried so much. They were like horror stories. Most were reports from the Coroner's offices. Some officers were suspended. A couple dismissed of their duties permanently and only two police officers I read of were charged with a crime. I wish everyone in the world had black skin and the problem would be solved. Thank you for your lovely comment dear frieind.

The racial motivation is still prevalent, but it is changing slowly. Killing young kids of any color is disgusting, I hope for more restraint and thoughtfulness.

My wonderful grandsons are not quite teenagers yet. I cannot help fearing for them growing up in the USA. They will wear nice clothes, and drive nice cars. I pray this never makes them a target for suspicion of theft or wrong doing because of the colour of their skin. I cant help wishing they were here in Australia.

It's disgraceful to kill a child just because of the color of his skin.

Yes Victor, I merely included first names and ages, but to read the accounts of some of these murders by police is worse than a horror story. Not sure how their parents can cope.
