Whats the Fuss

As women we can be our worst critics. We can be much too hard on ourselves, even harder than the weight we have to lose.
I’m talking about looking in the mirror and scowling at yourself, or calling yourself a degrading name, because you don't yet like what you see.

Well .. it's self abuse and an indication of being or becoming depressed. This little poem is just saying lighten up. Take one day at a time. Be kind er... be patient with yourself. See yourself the way God sees you... with compassion, while staying on course with your weight loss goals, allow the greatest part of your accountability to be based upon His love. Make shorter, attainable goals that can be quickly achieved... Don't procrastinate, write things down... Note or journal everything. And remember, don’t get abusive, obsessed, or depressed... Just exchange faithfulness to yourself with faithfulness to your Father God. You're going to get there. He'll
show you the way.

WHAT'S THE FUSS

What's the fuss? Why the disgust?
Look at the progress you’ve made.
Not just losing pounds,
Lift your face from the ground.
You’re worth more than the price you have paid.

Just take off that silly frown, glimpsing
down at your gown, it's been ages since
highschool, or the walked the aisle.

It may be your wedding anniversary,
maybe even a nursery,
and your curves have changed having a child.

What's all the fuss? Cry if you must,
let it out but at least smile for how
far you've come,

A new day is here, you’re more
precious my dear,
You're still “you” when it's all said and done.

Keep that outfit, the size 10. Lift up your
sweet chin,
and in case you desire being smaller than that,
Keep your eye on your goal,
you'll soon fit in your mold,
Love God loving you right where you're AT!
