What's Important
With age I realize
How little I really need
I came to this earth
With absolutely nothing
I’ll leave it just as empty handed
Still were I alone
And my house on fire
I wouldn’t hesitate to grab my purse
And my six framed watercolor paintings
I’d tear them right off the wall
Knowing my muse is so fickle
She may never again visit me
So these paintings created years ago
May truly be irreplaceable
As I may never again be inspired
I wouldn’t take a chance
